Now here’s how you get young people to support mask-wearing! That said, they still have work to do on the Social Distancing front but to be fair, there’s a limited amount of space on the front of that building. “Save Us Justice League” indeed… if they can’t save us, can anyone? It’s up to you New York, dateline July of 2020. (image via Eden, Janine and Jim)
Sweden’s rather “relaxed” approach to dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic has been roundly criticized by some, soundly praised by others. Not many (if any) other nations have chosen to follow the Swedish model, however, not that the Swedish model on the above billboard can be blamed for that. Blame it on the mask media instead. A Surgeon Cases
Looks like Florence Nightingale has gone over to the dark side, as the stenciled surgeon above appears about as kind and caring as Szell, the demonic dentist from Marathon Man. Is it safe? Well, we’re in the midst of a global pandemic so that would depend on where you’re living. To get up close and personal with this image – assuming anyone’s brave enough to try – you probably live in London, UK. Oh, and set your time machine for October 2nd, 2008. (image via Lettuce.)
Under Cover Angel
We’ll always have Paris and we’ll always have graffiti, and in the case of this image from June of 2016 it’s “Why not both?” The sticker features a masked woman, possibly a nurse, framed by text in Chinese characters. We think it adds character to an isolated corner of the City of Light, don’t you? (image via AmyAnderson)
Here’s what appears to be an Asian woman wearing a mask, accompanied by a doctored American flag with swastikas replacing the stars, painted on a wall in southern Brazil… in October of 2006? Either the anonymous artist was particularly prescient or Cole from 12 Monkeys left us a warning nobody heeded. Wow, 2006… seems like a Brazilian years ago, doesn’t it? (image via Jason Hollinger)
