They say “candy is dandy” and although the originator of that quote couldn’t even imagine the way in which these sugary bon-bons were used one clear January day in Chengdu, the phrase is still apropo.
In fact, “dandy” barely begins to describe the sight of 19 tons of colored candies arranged into one monumental mosaic. It’ll have to do, though, as art projects of this nature using this medium just don’t appear every day (and thankfully, it wasn’t rainy).
