Rose & Fall

This abandoned greenhouse complex in East Richmond, California, is part of a complex of family-owned and operated greenhouses that went out of business decades ago. Plant life, as they say, finds a way however and the odd botanical survivor has managed to raise their flowery head above the gently decaying ruins.

This abandoned greenhouse might look like the ruins of an ancient Roman warehouse but it’s not quite that old, unfortunately. It IS unfortunate, however, that the owners saw fit to leave an abundance of perfectly good (at the time) stock and supplies when they bailed on the business. Guess it just wasn’t bringing in enough… wait for it… green.
