Charlotte Avignon Vertical Farm Design, Paris

Building a vertical farm in Paris seems like a rather overwhelming task. Given the city’s historic buildings and iconic infrastructure, would it even be possible to put such a modern structure there? Architect Charlotte Avignon thinks so, and her idea is one that doesn’t interrupt or cut off the unforgettable Paris skyline. The airy structure would be located in a park-like environment and would provide fresh, local food for Parisians. Maybe this farm won’t be built anytime soon, but knowing that architects are leaning toward eco-friendly designs is a glimmer of hope for our hopelessly un-green cities.
