Shimizu Corporation, a Japanese construction company, devised this low-cost and attractive solution for improving the appearance of otherwise boring buildings. At about $80 per square foot, adding some vegetation to a building carries a much lower cost than most other beautification methods. And with the added benefit of providing natural insulation, it just seems like common sense to add a lightweight, cost-effective green wall wherever possible.
