Giant Desert Mounded Earth City

This amazing monument is the life’s work of Michael Heizer, who is in the process of building City – which may be the largest piece of artwork ever attempted by a single individual. Just one single complex from one of five project phases extends over a quarter of a mile and is over sixty feet high, composed mainly of mounded earth. The project is estimated to cost over twenty million dollars and slated for completion within the next few years, at which time its location in the Nevada desert will be revealed and it will be open to visitors.
