Christo Colorful Umbrella Landscape Art

Refusing outside sponsorship as usual, Christo and Jeanne-Claude went even further with The Umbrellas than with the Running Fence project – spanning two countries worlds apart (Japan and the USA), dozens of legal districts and hundreds of parcels of real estate under the ownership of as many individuals. In the end, they funded this strange and amazing installation by selling drawings, models and lithographs. (Source)
